AGM & Elections 2026

BHCA is inviting all members to the Annual General Meeting & Elections which will be held on TUESDAY, July 21st, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. ONLINE via Zoom (or Google Meet or MS Teams

In keeping with best practice, the BHCA Constitution includes election procedures. We’ve outlined them below, followed by the nomination form if you wish to run for a Board seat. Nominations to run for a Board position are open to any and all BHCA members in good standing whose current address is within the Beacon Hill Community Association boundaries (see boundary map here: https://bhca.ca/site/about-us/).

  • Board members are elected to the Board, not to specific roles.
  • The newly elected Board will meet in person soon after the election and vote which role each Board member will hold.
  • The Board will initially have 9 seats, which may be increased as required, as per the rules of the BHCA Constitution. Of those 9 seats, there are typically 4 Officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary), and 5 Members-at-Large. More information about these roles can be found in the BHCA constitution, available on our website: BHCA-Constitution.
  • Members of the BHCA Board will serve a 2-year term. This will allow for a steady rotation of Board members and historical knowledge. As of this 2026 AGM, 4 seats are up for nomination.
  • Memberships and prices are $10 CAD (ten) per person. Your membership, if paid with your credit card, will automatically renew on the start date of your membership. You will receive a renewal/payment notification by email.
  • If you wish to be part of the Board, please complete the nomination form before SUNDAY, JULY 19TH. Nominations will also be open, as per best practices, at the AGM.
  • The nomination form can be found and submitted online at: https://bhca.ca/site/agm-elections-2026/

Every Member entitled to vote at a meeting of Members may appoint a proxyholder, or one or more alternate proxyholders to attend and act at the meeting in the manner and to the extent authorized by the proxy and with the authority conferred by it subject to the procedures provided in article 4.12 of the BHCA-Constitution. The form to delegate your vote to a proxy holder can be found below.
